They took into custody Taylor Wardlaw to investigate his death. The police say Eddie Brown (30), is being held as a suspect in the murder. Sims was a man of 26 that was last seen living in a house located on Ervin Street in Columbia Dec. 20. His girlfriend, Wardlaw, reported him missing on December. 22, as per the police. A body was located near the creek on Monticello Road Wednesday, and the Richland County Coroner, Naida Rutherford, confirmed that the body belonged to Sims. Skip Holbrook of Columbia Police reports that Wardlaw was charged with the murder of Sims and possessing firearms during an violent incident.
