Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13, 1950) popularly referred to as Stevie Wonder is an American singer-songwriter. The singer-songwriter is frequently credited with being a pioneer in a variety of genres, including soul, rhythm and blues as well as gospel, jazz soul, gospel and funk. A virtual one-man group, Wonder's use of synthesizers as well as other electronic musical instruments during the 1970s transformed the norms of R&B. He played a key role in bringing such genres into the age of albums by releasing albums that were both cohesive and consistent. Wonder was born blind, signed with Motown's Tamla label when he was 11 years old. He was later given the professional name Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's popularity on the charts was at its height during the 1970s. The band's "classic" period started in 1972 with Music of My Mind and Talking Book. The latter featured "Superstition" The most famous and well-known instance of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard sound. His works Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness the First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all were awarded the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, making him the only person to hold the record for the most Album of the Year wins, with three. Wonder is the only artist who has won the award with three consecutive albums. Wonder's "commercial period" began in the early 1980s. He had his greatest songs and most famed as well as increased album sales, charitable involvement, and high-profile collaborations.
